Residency with water
A restorative gathering for beauty, creativity, and connection
A luxurious seven day immersion in wild beauty and the transformative power of water. Led by Patricia Garcia-Gomez
This seven day immersion is designed for women who want to fill up with beauty, nurture their creative stirrings, and explore water as a way of listening and being in our bodies. It is open to creators of all kinds. Water is an especially good ally for people making space for courageous new versions of themselves. For people who have been on prior RewildRestore experiences, this is an opportunity to go deeper into your water self. This is an intimate gathering, sharing twin residences on a wild stretch of the Aegean.
Our restorative experiences are not about going back to a previous state, but gathering anew, and directing ourselves forward. Immersing into the world, not away from it. Water, beauty, weightlessness, expanding what the body knows, joyful experiences that take root in your being.
Water has the power of resetting your nervous system, and soothing all the way down into your cells. It also holds space for ancient memories and new inspirations. You will come away deeply nourished, with a new way of listening, and a deeper connection with water, ritual, ceremony, self and each other.
A mythic edge of the Aegean Sea, Cyclades
We meet on a wild edge of Naxos, one of the most myth saturated islands in the Cyclades, sitting in circle with the sacred islands of Delos and Keros.
While all seas can nourish and enchant, the Aegean may be my favorite water on the planet. She is alive, restorative, memory rich. I invite you into my practice of water as a way of listening, sensing, connecting, knowing, and tapping into unseen intelligences. I can’t wait to introduce you to her.
Our location rests on a wild edge of Naxos, one of the most myth saturated islands in the Cyclades. She sits in circle with the sacred islands of Delos and Keros, the oldest centers of ceremony (and feminine deity) in Greece. This is the island of Demeter, Dionysus, Ariadne, Zeus, caves, temples, mountain villages, cicadas, a lineage of artisans, and my most favorite stone beach.
Naxos is a coming home for me - it is on this ancient land and in this stretch of sea that my water practice was formed and informed. Where I dissolved one way of being, and swam/flowed/sensed my way into another. Where I honed my relationship with the sea into a kind of paying attention, receptivity and making space for what wants to emerge. I chose Naxos because this immersion is designed as a residency, a space to be in inquiry, to sharpen your senses, play, wander adventurously and connect. We will move and create amidst secret swims, ancient olive trees, temples to the Goddess, story, stillness, rhythm, and the wise untamed beauty of the Aegean. Each of us finding what calls, and creating as a way of bringing ourselves forward.
What you will experience (included)
Seven nights in wild beauty, surrounded by sea and ancient dreams
Our homes for the week (two twin beach houses) are tucked into a wild landscape on the southern edge of Naxos, surrounded by a lush green garden and protected by shady pergolas. You will have the option for a private master suite or shared suite. Our homes are spacious, graceful, with generous outdoor space for gathering or luxuriating in private space. Transfers included.
Daily immersion in water as a practice
We will greet each day with a morning water ritual and swim. Each day I will reveal a new element of my water practice, integrating meditation, movement and other elements to move us into our senses, body, strength, inner stirrings. Followed by guided reflection and creative tending. You will leave with your own powerful practice gently placed in your body.
Beautifully made and shared meals
Our houses will be stocked with locally sourced ingredients for informal breakfasts the entire retreat experience. Dinners take place around a single convivial table. Four evenings will be hosted under the stars at home, by a private local chef. All other meals will be take place in and around the island in the course of our days at an individual expense.
Daily guided creative inquiry and immersion
Creative practice is the soul of our shared journey. We will gather, informally, to discuss and share. And we will also have the grace in our day’s plan to adjust to weather, inspiration, spontaneous discoveries.
Adventures into the land, water, culture
We will adventure around and about the island, exploring its wild swims, ethereal landscape, and culture. Rather than set itinerary we will move with the rhythm of discovery and what calls.
Spacious time to rest, dream, swim, have fun, and settle in to a long exhale
Sleep, swim, create, wander, float, make a friend, rest, listen to the sound of the Aegean. There is a generous amount of free time each afternoon for following what calls you, All planned activities are optional. RewildRestore is about filling up, not about exhausting.

Hi, I’m Patricia
Patricia Garcia-Gomez
Creator, Narrative, Water
So lovely to meet you here. The Aegean Sea is my muse, my ally, and my spirit home. I cannot wait to introduce you to her. I invite you into the water as a practice of listening, sensing, and connecting, The inspiration began when I was in creative residency on the island of Naxos, immersing myself in the soul and culture of the land. While creating site-specific multi-sensory installations, I began swimming in the Aegean Sea every day. What started out as a refreshing break in the day turned into a life-changing water practice. My approach is both ancient and modern, physical and meditative, bringing together meditation, movement, sensory immersion, and ceremony. Thank you.
