Water moon, Ancient Dreams

Bathing in beauty. Immersing in water as teacher.

A seven-night gathering on the Cycladic Aegean. Water. Beauty. Ritual. Direct encounter. Led by Patricia Garcia-Gomez. Limited to seven participants.

Join us in the luminous days of early summer on a wild stretch of the Cycladic Aegean.

Water Moon, Ancient Dreams is an invitation into beauty, ancient stirrings, and a deeper relationship with water. A week shaped by sea, ritual, and the elemental rhythms of the Cyclades.

Each morning we greet the day with a swim and water ritual. Over the course of the week, I will share elements of a practice shaped through more than a decade of apprenticeship with the sea.

My morning swim has become a ritual of joy, attention, and renewal. A way of meeting myself anew each day and making space for what wants to emerge. I look forward to introducing you to it.

RewildRestore is for those drawn to water as a practice of listening, sensing, and direct encounter. We are not interested in returning to who we once were, but in meeting ourselves anew.

Retreating into the world, not away from it.

Through immersion, beauty, and attention, we remember what the body already knows.

My hope is that you leave with a practice that is truly your own.

And that we all meet in the water.

Water as teacher

We meet on a wild edge of Naxos, one of the most myth-saturated islands in the Cyclades.

While all seas can nourish and enchant, the Aegean may be my favorite water on the planet. She is alive, memory-rich, and endlessly generous.

I invite you into my practice of water as a way of listening, sensing, connecting, and knowing. A way of noticing what might otherwise go unseen.

This island sits in conversation with the sacred islands of Delos and Keros, among the oldest ceremonial centers in Greece. It is a landscape of caves, temples, artisans, sacred waters, and stories carried forward through generations.

This expanse of the Aegean is a coming home for me. It is where I dissolved one way of being and sensed my way into another. Where my relationship with the sea became a practice of attention, receptivity, creativity, and trust in what is quietly emerging.

I chose Naxos for its wild beauty and ancient rhythms.

Together we will move among hidden swims, ancient olive groves, temple ruins, stories, stillness, rhythm, and the untamed beauty of the Aegean.

My approach weaves together movement, meditation, immersion, ceremony, creativity, and expanding the senses.

You do not need to be a strong swimmer to participate.

Meet your host

Patricia Garcia-Gomez
Creative, Narrative, Water

Hi, I’m Patricia. Lovely to meet you here. The Aegean Sea is my muse, my ally, and my spirit home. I cannot wait to introduce you to her. I invite you into the water as a practice of listening, sensing, and connecting. The one thing I love more than my morning swim, is introducing people to water in a new way. The inspiration began when I was in creative residency on the island of Naxos, immersing myself in the soul and culture of the land. While creating site-specific multi-sensory installations, I began swimming in the Aegean Sea every day. What started out as a refreshing break in the day turned into a life-changing water practice. My approach is both ancient and modern, physical and meditative, bringing together meditation, movement, sensory immersion, creativity and ceremony. Outside of the water, I practice flow in the form of directing Creative Strategy for some of the world’s most beloved brands and people. My artwork features in the Tate Modern (Uk), PACE Gallery (NYC), Harwood Museum of Art (New Mexico), Museum of Art and Design (NYC), among others. I am a bathe-ing enthusiast and am currently traveling the world to meet and write about bathe-ing cultures and traditions that reach back in time.
